Zaccai Curtis is the older brother of Claude Diallo Situation bass player Luques Curtis. Together, the two brothers won a Grammy for Best Latin Jazz Album in 2025 with their project Cubop Lives!, an album that explores the vibrant intersection of American bebop and Afro-Cuban rhythms. On April 25 2026 the concert, which took place in St. Gallen, Switzerland at the venue KultBau was the start of something very special. Claude Diallo Situation, with Colombian drummer Túpac Mantilla, invited Zaccai Curtis for a concert featuring the music from the album. Claude and Zaccai are Yamaha artists and including two grand pianos makes this project a unique experience for the audience. With the addition of Cuban star percussionist Keisel Jiménez, the group found the missing link to keep the authenticity of the latin jazz flavor needed to respect the full scope of the artistic vision.
